Position Summary
This Plumbing Apprentice will be working under the direct supervision of a licensed Journeyman Plumber/Foreman. This position will help in the installations, alterations, additions and / or repair of Plumbing systems. These systems may consist of pipes, fittings and fixtures for heating, water, steam and drainage systems. Full time employees should complete 2,000 hours of on-the-job training each year of apprenticeship.

Work Environment
The work is completed outside at the construction site, renovating occupied facilities such as hospitals, labs, nursing homes, etc. Located in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness. The position is often exposed to sounds and loud noises, such as construction equipment. The job requires they wear protective equipment when on the construction site (hardhats and safety glasses). Temperatures and conditions may vary depending on the weather and seasons.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and able to talk and hear other employee talking. The employee must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Expected Hours of Work
Full time position. Extended hours and weekends may apply.
Travel
Travel to and from the construction site is required. Long distance travel may be required which may include overnight stays depending on the project.
